The GY-HM100 samples the image at 4:2:2 and can provide a live uncompressed 4:2:2 output via the HDMI port on the back of the camera. Does that mean that I can playback content on the SDHC-card mounted in the camera, and capture via HDMI connector ?

There are a number of devices on the market that can capture uncompressed video from the GY-HM100's HDMI connector.  This is often done when the camera is used in an environment requiring uncompressed HD-SDI signals.  The live 4:2:2 camera signal is output through HDMI and converted to HD-SDI.  However, the material recorded on the SDHC card is in 4:2:0 format.  You can output it as 4:2:2 via HDMI but the image quality will be the same as the recorded video--still very good.
