Is the firmware update for GY-HM100U and GY-HM100E the same? My camera has a problem with its iris. When you shoot bright objects such as fluorescent light the iris will close & open close which I hope could be fixed thru firmware up.

The firmware and upgrade procedure for the United States (U) and European (E) models differ.    U.S. customers should download firmware from the JVC Americas website at:

The European site for GY-HM100E firmware is:

As far as we know there are no firmware updates that deal with iris issues.  Please contact your local JVC service facility regarding this matter.
