I just purchased a GY-HD200UB, the package with the 100GB hard drive, 17x lens, etc. I just now took the camera out of the box and noticed, printed on the camera "GY-HD200." Are all the models marked that way? How can I tell if it's the newest model UB? Just want to make sure I have the right camera before I start using it. Thanks!

The GY-HD200 "B" models are identified with the letter 'B' in parenthesis following the model number on the carton box, as shown below:

The serial number plate on the camera should also have a 'B' designation, usually on a sticker near the model number.

If you purchased your camera after February 1, 2008 and do not have the above designation, then JVC will upgrade you to a 'B' model at no charge between May 1, 2008 and June 30, 2008. For more information, see the JVC product update page at: http://pro.jvc.com/update
