How can I add a watermark onto my video with the GY-HM200SP Sports Production Camcorder?

Adding a watermark or any other graphic is easy if your camera has been upgraded to include the "Full Screen Graphic" function.  (August 2017)

Create the graphic (watermark) using a photo editing software program such as Photoshop, Gimp, etc.  Assuming that you are operating the camera in the 1080 mode, the graphic dimensions should be 960 x 540 pixels. (640 x360 if recording in the 720p mode.)

The entire frame should have a transparent background.  Then, within that frame, add your small logo or graphic and position in the corner of your choice.  Save the file as a .PNG graphic.  This will retain the transparent background.   The camera will upscale the entire 960 x 540 frame to 1920 x 1080 with your smaller logo in the corner you selected.

Then add the graphic file to the camera using an SD card, according to the instructions provided with the upgrade.

Here is an example of a watermark in the upper right corner of the frame.  You will notice that the JVC logo is semi-transparent over the background giving it a true watermark feel.  You can keep the watermark active regardless of whether you are showing the score overlay in the lower third.
